**SEMINAR SPECTACULAR**
January 31 - February 2
Greetings!
The next APAG seminar is fast approaching. The seminar will be Sunday January 31 through Tuesday February 2 at Custom Classic Photography in Eudora, Kansas. Join us for fun, fellowship, and photography.
Sunday January 31: preparing for print competition
John Gladman is one of the most decorated photographers in the country.
He is a Master of Photography, Master of Electronic Imaging, with 49 loan collection prints.
John will start off talking about the 12 elements of a merit print and discuss trends in print competition. He will explain why a great image for your client may be a poor competition print.
After what I am sure will be a lively and informative discussion, we will have an image critique. Bring some of your images on a thumb drive and get great ideas to make your image worthy of merit.
We will have several photographers on hand to help you pick images and get them ready for HOA and PPA National competition.
Monday February 1: print review & the power of plugins
We will continue the print competition review on Monday. If you had time to work on your images Sunday night, we will look at them again and evaluate the changes.
Photoshop Plugins. Brandon Basset will spend the rest of the day showing us some phenomenal Photoshop plugins. Brandon will demonstrate these plugins and answer any questions you have. There will also be trial versions for you to install on your computer. This will be a great opportunity for you to expand the abilities of Photoshop and take you post production to a new level.
Tuesday February 2: Save time & make money & the power of great actions
Photoshop. In the morning, Mark Rose will give his seminar on Saving Time and Making Money with Photoshop. He will discuss basic and advanced retouching and image enhancement. This great program also includes how to make and use actions.
In the afternoon, we will have an action exchange, so bring any actions you like and want to share, we will discuss them and even tweak them if needed.
During the afternoon, Mark will play The Good, The Bad and The Ugly.
Do you have any images that didn't turn out the way you had hoped or images that you would like to save but don't know how.
Would you like to see how Mark can take an ordinary image to the next level?
Bring any image (unaltered jpg's are best) and see what they become.
As always APAG seminars are as much about learning from each other, as learning from the speakers. Discussions, questions and tangents are welcome and encouraged.
